Join the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh for the latest in our series of online International Medical Updates (IMU), and this inaugural International Medical Update from Australasia which covered diverse topics in relation to clinical medicine with presentations by experts and key opinion leaders in the respective fields.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to Dr Tien K Khoo, RCPE Regional Adviser, Australia - Queensland, NSW & Australian Capital Territory, for his support in developing this event, and together, we aimed to cover the following:
Update on Delirium: this state of the science talk will cover what is considered best care in relation to delirium practice with reference to the Australian Clinical Care Standards for Delirium. In addition, barriers to high quality care will be explored and directions for the future considered.
Health Assessments and the Long Tail of Prevention: summarises the potential role of health assessments to slow decline in intrinsic capacity, and to enhance people’s ability to engage in activities that matter in later life.
Management of disorders of gut-brain interactions (irritable bowel syndrome): will further explore the science of neurogastroenterology and the microbiome in relation to functional gut disorders.
This IMU is free to all RCPE Members and Fellows of RCPE.

Delegates can continue to register for on-demand access only after the live event has taken place. Please note that access closes 28 days after the original broadcast, not after the point of booking.
