Thank you for visiting the RCPE Events Calendar

We have now launched our new College website, which includes integrated event bookings and has replaced the use of this event calendar.

All future event bookings should be made on the new College website.

If you have already booked an upcoming event, you should have been contacted directly by a member of staff and will be sent event joining information in the usual way. For further information on upcoming events please visit our new webpages, and you can contact an Event Coordinator using the details at the bottom of each event page.

Our symposia programme and conferences covers general and acute medical specialties, with an emphasis on practical clinical issues. Delivered through lectures, interactive debates and workshops, our range of events support your day-to-day practice, keeping you up-to-date with the latest research and discussions. The core clinical programme is complemented by symposia focusing on policy issues and areas of change or controversy.

To attend a symposia you must register online via the RCPE events pages. Please click the gold 'book now' button on each event page, which will take you through to the registration page. If you have yet to create an account you will be prompted to create one for the RCPE events pages, where you will be able to view all of your bookings. It is important that you do register online for symposia so that we can send you important event information and your personal link to the online feedback survey, which you must complete in order to be issued with a CPD certificate.

Frequently asked questions:

Can I attend Symposia online?

Yes! All of our symposia are delivered in the hybrid format, so that you can attend in the College or online from anywhere. As well as being able to watch live, we are also making our event content available to all registered delegates on-demand for 28 days. Please note that the talks will be available to view on-demand by the second working day after the live event. You can find out more via each individual event page.

How do I claim a CPD certificate?

In order to receive a CPD certificate from RCPE for attending a symposium you will need to complete the online feedback survey, and confirm your attendance within the survey. Delegates will be emailed a personal link to an online form ahead of the symposium.

The online feedback survey is open for 28 days following the event and all CPD certificates will be issued by RCPE via email once the online feedback survey has closed.

How do I alter CPD credits for half-day attendance in the CPD diary?

Once you have entered the CPD code to add the event to your CPD diary, click on the reflection tab and you will see the total number of credits for a full attendance. Click on the arrow beside the number, this will bring up a drop down menu where you can click on the relevant number of credits you wish to enter for your attendnace at the event. Please note that 1 credit is 1 hour of education.

How can I ask a question during symposia

You can ask questions during a symposium via the interactive voting application Slido. Information regarding how to access Slido will be provided to you during the event. We endeavour to answer as many questions as possible during the event, and any unanswered questions will be passed on to the speakers and their responses will be posted on this page following the event. Some talks will involve interactive voting and you will be able to participate via Slido.

How do I prove attendance?

To be issued with a CPD certificate you need to confirm your attendance via the online feedback survey (please see the first question).

How can I access past symposia?

We record all of our symposia talks (unless a speaker requests otherwise). These recordings are made available on the RCPE Education Portal and are accessible to all RCPE Members and Fellows. You can find out more about our different Membership packages on our Membership pages.
